Rolling on the river of love
Skippers Kaitlyn and Anthony commemorated their Jungle Cruise love story with our hats, and we are so excited to share their story with you all!
"Kaitlyn and I met in 2015 working at the Jungle Cruise together. I was a full time employee and she was on her CP. Kaitlyn says the first time she saw me, I asked her trainer if they would be taking my position because I needed a 103. Great first impression lol.
We got to know each other when we were both working load and I noticed her sunglasses and said she looked like John Lennon (they were round). After that, a fateful downtime due to a tree falling in the river brought us backstage waiting in the botes to bring them back out.
We got to chatting and she asked me to come to Epcot with her so she could get something for her friend. From there we hung out more, got to know each other, and we both awkwardly couldn’t tell if we were interested. Finally at Monsters Laugh Floor, I was asked by a monster if we were “friends or friiiieeennddssss” to which I said “somewhere in between” and I think that sealed the deal.
When it was time for her to go back and finish school, I made the move up to North Carolina with her. We got engaged in 2016 and married in 2019. We moved from North Carolina, back to Orlando, and are now happily in Denver, Colorado with our 3 fur babies.
